Counterculture Week 2 **Clothed in Christ: Dressing for Daily Discipleship** Each day, we make choices about what to wear — but Paul invites us to consider a deeper wardrobe: one woven with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, and love. Becoming more Christlike isn’t accidental; it’s a daily, intentional act of spiritual dressing. When we “put on Christ,” our inner transformation spills into our relationships, decisions, and way of life. Generosity, too, is part of this spiritual wardrobe. It’s not a seasonal accessory but a daily garment — one that shapes how we give with gratitude and joy. Just as we might prepare for a day of work or weather, we also spiritually dress for battle, for healing, for flourishing, or for being a light in the dark. This week, we’re invited to take inventory of our spiritual closets. What are we wearing that no longer fits the way of Christ — pride, arrogance, defensiveness? What do we need more of — patience, gentleness, love? As a tangible act of generosity, consider donating clothing or proceeds from consignment to support ministry. Let’s not reserve our “Sunday best” for one day a week. What if kindness and humility became our everyday attire? What if, as a church, we committed to wearing these Christ-clothes together — not just in worship, but in every interaction? One step at a time, we can become a community clothed in love.
