2 Corinthians 12:1–10:

God’s grace is enough. Paul hears the Lord say, “My grace is sufficient for you,” reminding us that God gives what we need to endure, even when circumstances do not change.

Weakness is not failure. Paul does not hide his weakness; he learns that weakness can become the place where Christ’s power is most clearly seen.

God may not remove every thorn. Paul prayed three times for his thorn to be taken away, but God answered by giving sustaining grace rather than immediate relief.

Pride is spiritually dangerous. Paul’s thorn kept him from becoming too elated because of his visions and revelations, showing that hardship can sometimes keep us humble and dependent on God.

Prayer is still faithful even when the answer is “no” or “not yet.” Paul brought his pain honestly to the Lord, and God met him with a promise.

Christ’s power rests on those who depend on Him. Paul says he will boast in his weaknesses so that the power of Christ may dwell in him.

Grace changes how we view hardship. Weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities are not enjoyable, but they can become places where God strengthens faith.

Our strength comes from Christ, not ourselves. The main message is: when we come to the end of our own power, we discover the sustaining power of God.
